"That's how it has gone for me at least, paring down the list of reasons I was born until only a few likely candidates were left standing." - Stephen Jenkinson, Die Wise p. 25

For the duration of my adult life, I have tried to bring my full, raw, and unique self to everything I have done.

Before I had a sense of that self, and the Mastery of moving with it, I had instead a habit of trying (and failing) to fit in. The diagnosis and subsequent medication of various neurological differences at a young age taught me that my best bet at life was to be convenient for others, and failing at that over and over led to a breaking point. My mind was in darkness, and then something lit it up.

Following the intuitive guidance of my mother out of desperation, I tried meditation. I failed at that too, but at least it was a new frontier to explore. This led me to Taoist Inner Alchemy- a style of meditation I did not suck at right away. For the first time, I saw how my mind (the very thing I believed was damaged) could actually be a STRENGTH if applied in the right ways.

Not long after this morale boost, I saw in a moment how all of my trauma and pain had prepared me to be someone only I can be, and I promised myself to always honor my unique interests and history. I promised myself I would become a Master.

Not knowing where to go next, I dropped out of college, fell back on tennis coaching and secretly collected Trainings and Certifications.

After years of exploring it in my own practice, I launched a program designed to integrate everything I had ever learned into tennis, in order to create tennis Masters—not just players. This is where the Master in me came alive.

My students were not only growing at incredible rates, they were reporting spiritual development on AND off the court. We came to love and trust each other and our little practices became a sanctuary for our souls. I saw everything I believe in come alive in my students and in myself. My students became not just better tennis players, nor just better versions of themselves; they became capable of growing in Mastery in BOTH AT THE SAME TIME. The coaches I taught grew just as well.
I grew right alongside of them, and eventually grew out of the tennis industry. Now, I help a much wider web of people do the same thing in the communities that they care about.
